Biofeedback

A technique used to teach you how to control functions of your body, such as a heart rate, respiration, and body temperature. Through strategically placed electrodes attached to your body, information is sent to a computer which provides feedback that teaches you how to change specific body functions. With biofeedback, you are able to slow your heart rate, lower blood pressure, and ease muscle tension. This therapeutic technique can be helpful for chronic pain, migraines, anxiety, injuries, epilepsy, arthritis, ADHD, and high blood pressure. AAPB.org
